2. What data we process

• Orders: name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number, ordered items, payment data – to perform the sales contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Contact enquiries: name, email address, message content – to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Shopping cart: the contents of your cart are stored exclusively locally in your browser (localStorage) and are not transmitted to us until you place an order.
• Server log data: IP address (shortened), date, time, page accessed, browser type – to ensure technical security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); deleted after 7 days.
• Cookies: see Section 5 below.

3. Retention periods

Enquiry data is deleted no later than 6 months after the communication ends if no contract is concluded. Order and invoice data is retained for 10 years in accordance with Article L.123-22 of the French Commercial Code. The data is deleted thereafter.

4. Recipients of the data

Data is shared exclusively with: the postal carrier La Poste/Colissimo (delivery address for shipment), payment service providers (payment processing) and our accountants (statutory retention). No data is transferred to third countries outside the EU/EEA.

5. Cookies and consent

This website uses strictly necessary cookies and localStorage entries (shopping cart, storage of your cookie preferences) in accordance with Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the CNIL guidelines. Statistics and marketing cookies are only set with your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you grant via the cookie banner and may withdraw at any time with future effect via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.

8. No automated decision-making

No profiling or automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

General Terms and Conditions of Sale of Baseline Tennis Store SAS, 28 Boulevard Saint-Germain, 75005 Paris (hereinafter the "Seller"). Last updated: 1 July 2026.

Article 1 – Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all sales contracts for goods concluded between the Seller and its customers via the online shop, by phone or in the store. Deviating terms of the customer shall not apply unless the Seller expressly agrees to them in writing.

Article 2 – Conclusion of contract

Product presentations in the online shop do not constitute a binding offer. By submitting the order via the button "Place order with obligation to pay", the customer makes a binding offer. The order confirmation email initially only documents receipt; the sales contract is concluded upon dispatch confirmation or delivery of the goods, and at the latest upon acceptance of payment.

Article 3 – Prices and shipping costs

All prices are in euros and include the statutory French VAT of currently 20%. Shipping costs a flat €4.95 per order; shipping within mainland France is free for orders of €79 or more. Racquet prices include stringing with a string from the standard range; premium strings are charged at the surcharge stated in the shop.

Article 4 – Payment

Payment may be made by credit card, Carte Bancaire, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer in advance. For advance transfers, the purchase price is due within 7 days of the order; the goods are dispatched after receipt of payment. Clubs and business customers may order on invoice with 14-day payment terms after account approval.

Article 5 – Delivery

Delivery within France is made by Colissimo. Stock items ordered on business days before 2 pm are dispatched the same day; racquets with custom stringing within 24–48 hours. In accordance with Article L.216-1 of the French Consumer Code, if an item is unavailable, the Seller informs the customer without delay and refunds any payments already made immediately.

Article 6 – Retention of title

The goods remain the property of the Seller until full payment has been received.

Article 7 – Statutory guarantees

All goods are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity of 2 years (Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code). Manufacturer warranties (e.g. on racquet frames) apply in addition and do not limit these statutory rights; the Seller handles manufacturer warranty claims as a free service.

Article 8 – Voluntary extended return policy

In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, the Seller grants a voluntary return period of 30 days in total from receipt of the goods. A €15 demo fee is charged for the return of demo racquets that have been played with. The statutory right of withdrawal remains unaffected by this voluntary policy.

Article 9 – Liability

The Seller is liable without limitation in cases of intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. In cases of simple negligence, it is liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Liability under French product liability law (Articles 1245 et seq. of the Civil Code) remains unaffected.

Article 10 – Mediation and final provisions

In accordance with Articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, consumers may refer unresolved disputes free of charge to the mediator CM2C, 49 Rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, https://www.cm2c.net, after first contacting our customer service. These Terms are governed by French law. For consumers, the courts having jurisdiction under the French Code of Civil Procedure apply; for merchants, the Commercial Court of Paris has jurisdiction. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.

Right of withdrawal for consumers

Consumers have the following statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts under Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code:

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, take physical possession of the goods.

– of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for the additional costs arising from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we received notice of your withdrawal. We will carry out the reimbursement using the same means of payment that you used for the initial transaction; in no event will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement. We may withhold the reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is earlier.

Returning the goods

You must send back the goods without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the fourteen-day period has expired. We bear the cost of the return – simply request the prepaid Colissimo return label by email. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Voluntary 30-day return policy

Independently of the statutory right of withdrawal, we grant a voluntary return period of 30 days from receipt of the goods under the same conditions (free return shipping, full refund). A €15 demo fee applies to demo racquets that have been played with. Your statutory rights are not limited by this policy.
